ResMed and Respironics have always played an important role as the great field of sleep apnea. Bad news for us, the patient, because this kind of duopoly can not be good for competition and innovation, the two forces that we see as critical for these devices moving forward in terms of usability and comfort for patients . So we were pleased to see that Fisher & Paykel, a longtime participant in the market for sleep apnea devices, but in our opinion, such a thing as an ugly stepchild RespironicsResMed has and has quietly and without much fanfare a device that could very well represent the most innovative steps forward again. Fisher & Paykel HC254 Series 200 is a SleepStyleTM was happening in the market by the FDA in September 2008.
